George Davies is an interior and product designer based in the Northern Rivers, NSW. George is interested in finding significance through form, exploring the relationship between function and feeling.
She creates spaces and products that elicit an emotional response through her non-linear process, a combination of sketches, conversations, research, and experimentation. Characterised by an honest materiality, George’s work seeks to balance permanence and utility.

‘Salomon x Sandy Liang: Studying Contrasts with George Davies’
For their highly anticipated second collaboration, Sandy Liang and Salomon have again reimagined classic silhouettes and brought a fresh take on two new styles. The Speedcross 3 Ribbon and the RX MJ feature Salomon’s technical expertise and Sandy Liang’s feminine designs inspired by elements of girlhood.
To celebrate the launch, Incu set out to find an artist who perfectly embodied the balance of tough and delicate that both brands bring to this collaboration. local Northern Rivers furniture and object designer George Davies brings - quite literally - all these aspects to the table with her functional, yet beautiful pieces.
Incu caught up with George after a photoshoot at Hake House and learned more about her work and creative influences.
