By Hannah Lange - ‘Ganinggaban dark - Ribbon Gum’
122cm x 153cm
Acrylic on linen
Every year the Ganinggaban (Ribbon Gum or Mana gum) grows, expands and forms new bark. The old bark is then shed forming dramatic long ribbons hanging from the gums exposing smooth new trunks. The bark creates unique patterns as it hangs off the trunk like ribbons.
